Larry verified some geneological facts in April96:
- No Freudingers in 1890 or 1900 census (Illinois).
- Also went throught the New York 1900 census & also drew a blank.
- Christoph & family show up in the 1910 census of which I made hardcopy.
The image is not that good so I've typed the info in instead of provideing
a scanned image you can't read. I've left most of the 32 column descriptions
intact to give you a flavor for the original descriptions.

- Also found Christoph's phone number in the 1905 Chicago phone book:
(... and I'll put it in here as soon as I find it!)
- Lastly, I searched for the name Freudinger on passenger lists
of German immigrants. Unfortunately, transcribing that information for
sorting is a huge task, and the books for 1884 & 1885 are not yet available.
However, I did find evidence that our family may not be the only Freudingers
in this country:
- Freudinger, Johann Phillip Micheal; Baltimore, 1826 1031.18
p.10
- Freudinger, Johannes; America, n.d. 1031.18 p10
- This jives with a conversation I had around 1988 at the International
Modal Analysis Conference in Orlando FL. I spoke with someone who knew
a Freudinger in lower Michigan working in the same field as myself (except
with cars).
